A visit from Grandma and Grandpa
Ted's mom and dad came up for a visit around the first part of July. We had so much fun! Lucy showed off her swinging skills at the park :) We also tried a new restaurant called LuLu's BBQ...delicious! Al had to get back to work, but Dixie was able to stick around for a few extra days. We did some shopping, went to music time at the library, and mommy and daddy even got a date night on our anniversary, July 10th! (Thanks Grandma Dixie!) Love you guys, thanks for another fun visit!

Baaba and Mimi
My mom and Mimi took a road trip at the end of June to come visit us for about a week. We had so much fun! They even watched Lucy so Ted and I could go to a Rockies baseball game (we had to really twist their arm about that....NOT REALLY!!!) :) We did our usually favorites: eat, shop, play with Lucy. That's kind of the pattern we like to do!
Love you both so much-thanks for a great visit.

Happy Father's Day
We loved celebrating Ted on his first Father's Day! What an amazing daddy he is!! :) After church, we went and had lunch with our friends, the Senters. Then we came home and watched the US Open, followed by the OKC Thunder game (kind of a sad ending, so we won't go there!)Daddies, you are SO special and SO important to your children. We are greatly blessed to have not only our earthly fathers but a perfect heavenly father, who loves and cares for us beyond what we can even imagine! Thank you Lord for being our Father and giving us our fathers here on earth.

THUNDER UP!!!
Woohoo!! It's game day people...oh man, we have had SO much fun watching the Oklahoma City Thunder play this season. What a round of playoff games it has been! We love putting on our Thunder gear *special thanks to Uncle Carleton for providing Lucy's Thunder attire* and cheering loudly from our living room (but not TOO loudly so as not to wake up Lucy)ha! :) And here we are in the NBA finals. We just love our team! These guys work and play so hard...it's gonna be a great series! Let's go OKC!

Memorial Day Weekend
We kicked the Holiday weekend off by picking up my parents from the airport Friday night. They were so excited to see Lucy, as my dad had not seen her since Christmas...she has changed just a tad since then, ha! :) We had a great weekend...went to a few of our favorite eating spots, spent some time in Boulder, put the grill to good use on Memorial Day, and just enjoyed being together. Lucy LOVED all the attention :) Thank you both so much for coming to visit us and love on us. We sure love you guys!!!
More Visitors!
The day after Ted's birthday, we had three special guests come stay with us...Uncle Carleton, Aunt Brandi and Uncle Kevin! They completely spoiled Miss Lucy (and us!) We went to the mall, we went into Boulder to get Buff gear, watched and cheered on the OKC Thunder, and enjoyed Carleton and Brandi's delicious grilling/cooking skills. We love these guys so much. Thanks for coming to see us and play with Lucy. She LOVES you all!

Happy Birthday Ted!
May 16th was(is) Ted's Birthday! We had breakfast with Al and Dixie that morning before they had to head back to OKC. Here are Daddy and Lucy before Daddy had to leave for work. Here lately, Lucy likes to reach out her hand in dramatic fashion...so that's what she is doing in this picture. Oh how we love you Ted/Daddy!!! We hope you know how special you are to us, and we had so much fun celebrating you!!!

My first Mother's Day
Mother's Day has always been a special day to me, but this year it was particularly special because it was my very first Mother's Day as a mother. I've always loved and appreciated my own mama, but now that I am one, I have a whole new appreciation and even deeper love for her!! I'm also thankful for my wonderful mother-in-law who was here, along with Ted's dad, to celebrate. Al and Dixie drove up for a few days to visit us, and of course play with Lucy :) We had a great time! We went to a charming place called The Huckleberry for Mother's Day brunch. We waited over an hour, but boy was it worth it! We also celebrated Ted's birthday (which I'll blog about next!) Here are some pictures from their trip. Thanks for a wonderful visit Grandpa Al and Grandma Dixie, we love you both so much!!!

A visit from Mimi
We were so thankful to have Mimi with us for a few days! She flew up to CO last week, and boy did we have fun!! We tried some new recipes, did a little shopping, and Mimi even planted me some flowers in my new pots...lets hope I keep them alive, ha! Lucy was on cloud nine-she absolutely LOVES her Mimi :) Here are a few pictures from her visit.

Everything but the kitchen sink...
That's what I feel like this post will be like, because I am SO FAR BEHIND on the blog!! Life in the Ledbetter Lane has been wonderful, but also a bit crazy these past few months. Since I'm not sure where to start, I will just post a few things from each month, how's that??!! :)
*FEBRUARY: WE MOVED!! Ted accepted a position at The University of Colorado in the athletic dept. A great opportunity for him and for our family...we had approx a month to find a place in CO, pack our condo in MI (thankfully we had the help of a moving company to haul most of it) and drive 20 hours across the country with an almost 7 month old (who by the way was a rock star in the car). Poor Lucy she did well for about 18 of the 20 hours...the last 2 she pretty much wailed (Ted and I felt the same way...GET ME OUT OF THE CAR!!!) We will miss MI, but we are excited about our new adventure in CO.
*MARCH: Lucy turned 7 months old on March 3rd! :) We also moved into our new place. Both grandmas got to visit and be here in March which was lots of fun! They were both huge helps. March Madness is always celebrated like a holiday in our household. However, Lucy and I were out before we could blink (I picked Mizzou and she picked Duke to win it all). Ted picked NC, so at least his team was in it for awhile.
*APRIL: Lucy turns 8 months old on April 3rd! :) We had a wonderful Easter celebration at church followed by great food and fellowship with some friends we've met here. Opening Day...GO YANKEES! (And Tigers! And Rockies! And Cubs!) We have a lot of teams to cheer for, ha! Lucy and I went to story time at the library...she loved it!! Ted and his dad went to the Tom Petty concert...check that off the bucket list :)
Lucy is crawling AND pulling up...needless to say, it's time to start "Lucy Proofing" the house, ha! She is growing and changing all the time, and is VERY verbal-she makes all kinds of sounds. But the best is that she can say "dada" which Ted just loves! Lucy loves to read and go for walks. She also loves to swing at the park. And bath time is usually a big hit!
Blog readers, thanks for hanging with us...we'll see you again soon (I promise!)

Happy 6 Months Lucy!
Lucy, you are getting to be so big! You are constantly changing and learning new things all the time. You smile, laugh, roll, and put anything and everything in your mouth :) You are so precious to us, and we can hardy believe how fast these 6 months have gone by!

We are crazy about you!!! :)

Merry Christmas/Happy New Year!
Oh dear...I've managed to get behind (again!) on blogging! With your permission, we will rewind here just a bit. And I promise to give the abridged version :)
Well, we took off for Oklahoma City from the Detroit airport the week before Christmas. Oh my, were we a sight! Lets just say we had some luggage. (okay, a LOT of luggage). Not to mention a car seat, stroller, and a 4 1/2 month old! Shout out to the Jobes for taking us to the airport and cramming us and our gear into their highlander! Lucy was an absolute champ. She did not fuss/cry one single bit. She ate/slept the entire way there. OH I so meant to have taken pictures of all this, a video perhaps?? Shoot, I'm just thankful we made it...the memories will have to just live in our minds.
Then, we spent the next couple of weeks seeing family/friends and celebrating the Holidays. Sweet Lucy had a LOT going on in her little world (she was a tad over stimulated I'd say, ha!) But we had the BEST time and were so very thankful to spend her first Christmas with our families. We ate, played with Lucy, watched bowl games, played with Lucy, shopped, played with Lucy (do you see a pattern here??) :) OH, and while were there....Lucy turned 5 months old, AND she rolled over! She is now officially a rolling machine. Which means I need to start baby proofing the condo immediately!
Here are some pictures from our trip. Thanks to all our OKC people, we LOVE YOU all so much!
