Trip to Florida!

Last Thursday, Ted and I left for Orlando(we now remember what REAL humidity is)ha! The first part of our trip was spent at the World Marriot Center, where Ted attended the NACDA convention (A HUGE athletic conference!)I attended the swimming pool! :) Men and women from all different colleges across the country were there...they would go to workshops/meetings during the day, and then in the evenings, companies would have exhibits set up (everything from the people who design and sell bobble head dolls to national championship rings, score boards, you name it!) They also served a lot of free food (which was great!) Sunday, we rented a car and drove to Bradenton, FL to visit Ted's Aunt Janet and Uncle Dave...and what a wonderful time we had! We toured the Bradenton/Sarasota area on Monday (which included lunch at The Salty Dog, where we had a beer battered deep fried hotdog-no I do not want to know how many calories were in it, but it was their signature dish...we had to try it, and boy was it yummy!) Tuesday, Ted and I spent the day at the beach, and Wednedsay the guys went golfing, while the girls went to lunch and to the Theater! Aunt Janet cooked many DELICIOUS meals for us and they also treated us to a mexican restaurant, which was fabulous! Thank you all again for having us, we love you all :) Here are some pictures from our wonderful trip!

Recital!

Last Saturday, we had our Spring Recital. I am so proud of all my students, they did a fantastic job! Everyone made it on and off stage with no major issues...and parents seemed happy and pleased, which makes "Ms. Anne" very happy and pleased! :) Here are a few pictures: The little mice are my creative movement kids. They danced to "Somewhere Out There", the Red white and blue were my Pre-Ballet classes and they danced to Copeland's "Rodeo", and my Ballet 5&6 year olds danced to "Castle on a Cloud" from Les Mis. I also taught beginning tap and those girls did "Put on a Happy Face" We teachers also danced-which is why I have on a ton of make up and a black sparkley top :)

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend. We started ours off with a Michigan Softball game Friday night...way to go BLUE, off to the World Series in OKC! Saturday, Ted went with some co-workers to a Tiger's game, and Sunday we went and bought Ted a bike with some of his birthday money! That is our plan this summer...lots of biking :) And today we joined up with our friends the Lamberts and Hoffmans and had a fabulous cookout. *** Thank you to ALL of our brave men and women who defend our country and protect our freedom each and every day. We are so thankful for your selfless devotion to our nation. God Bless you all!

Happy Birthday Ted!!!

Saturday was Ted's Birthday! He turned the big 28. He started off the day with a round of golf :) We spent the rest of the day out and about, and then went to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants here in Ann Arbor, The Prickly Pear. It's a mexican restaurant and it is DELICIOUS!!! After we stuffed ourselves with fajitas and chips and salsa, we walked around downtown and went to the Cupcake station to have "birthday cake". Happy Birthday Ted Led...I love you!! Remember..."28 is GREAT"!

Weekend update!

Hey Guys! Just wanted to touch base wtih everyone...unfortunately, I don't have any pictures with this blog post (sorry!) but I just had to share that Ann Arbor hit 74 degrees on Saturday!!! It was an absolute heat wave as far as we are concerned, so Ted and I celebrated by going downtown on Saturday to get ice cream :) We also rented Slumdog Millionaire. If you haven't seen it, it's a really good movie-kind of sad-but good. All is well here...boy, this month has absolutely flown by! Just wanted to say hi! Love, Ted & Anne

The Road to the Final Four!

You might say we had "One Shining Moment" yesterday! :) Ted and I went to the FINAL FOUR NCAA Tournament here in Detroit...and let us tell you, it was quite the experience! People were decked out in their school's colors, faces were painted, signs and flags waiving, you name it! It was held at Ford Field (where the Lions play). I believe they said this was the 2nd largest crowd at a Final Four in NCAA history, over 72,000 people! It was NUTS!!!! We had a blast...even though those Stinkin' Spartans won! (We'll get those Wolverines there next year!) Here are some pics from the big day :)

It's Snowing...what????

Ijust had to blog this: Late yesterday afternoon, it started SNOWING!!! We couldn't believe it! (Okay, so it wasn't the "sticking" kind, but nevertheless, the white stuff was coming down). It didn't last terribly long, but March seems to have come in like a lamb and is going out like a Lion! (Shouldn't it be the reverse?) Oh well...it's almost April (hooray!) Hopefully that means no more snow?!?

MARCH MADNESS!!!

Well, for those of you who don't know...it's Ted favorite time of year! :) Yes, March Madness is huge in our household! We love filling our brackets and watching all the games (ALL the games!) on tv and cheering for our teams. I must say, last Saturday was a little tense with my OU sooners playing the UM wolverines...but we have moved on and all is okay, ha! (Thank goodness...since I picked OU to go all the way!) Ted actually went with a buddy of his to Dayton, OH last weekend to watch his other team (Oklahoma State!) play in the tournament. He was able to see 4 games and had a GREAT time! Here are some pictures from his trip:

Debbie comes to visit!

About a week and a half ago, my mom came up to visit us...We had such a great time! Mom cooked us breakfast and dinner, one night we went and ate cuban food (yum!), did some shopping, went to the movies, and took mom on her first trip to IKEA! Thanks for loving on us mama...we sure love you! Thanks for everything :)

February=sports!

February was a quick month, but was full of lots of basketball and hockey games. I even made it to my first Michigan Wrestling match...actually my first any kind of wrestling match, ha! :) We love our friends the Jobes, and they were able to join us for a game...this is Emily and me, aren't we cute Wolverines??!!

Youth Group Retreat!

Hello Blog Readers! (Hopefully there are still some of you left!)

We really do apologize for the delay of posting...for some reason, the blog doesn't always like it when I log in, so it boots me off! (UGH!) But I think I've got it under control now, ha!

Well, I'm going to back track just a bit...last month, Ted and I went with our youth group on a retreat. It was such a blast and truly a blessing (Praise our God!) Here are some pictures from the weekend. We're not just talking a little cabin in the woods either...this place was like a resort (totally and completely our kind of "camping", ha!)

Love,
Ted and Anne :)

We once were lost...but now we're found!

Hello Everyone! I hope you all had not given up on us...we do apologize for the month long delay of blogging. We were experiencing extreme technical difficulties, but hopefully that is all behind us now, and we can move forward :) Wow, we have quite a bit of catching up to do! Stay tuned...we will have pictures and updates from the last month coming later today (probably tonight!). Please don't give up on us, Life in the Ledbetter Lane IS happening :) I will do a giant February blog before March gets here at the end of the week. Hope you all are well! Love, Ted and Anne :)

P.S. YES, IT IS STILL COLD UP HERE!!!

Does this appear dangerous to anyone else?

We have been meaning to put this on the blog for awhile...I didn't get the entire apt complex (didn't want to scare the neighbors by taking lots of pictures) but take a look at these icicles!!! The picture doesn't quite do it justice. Ted and I joke, but these things could cause some serious damage(especially to someone's head-yikes!) . We are extra careful when we walk out the front door :)

Curing the Winter Blues...

Hey Everyone! Sorry it's been awhile since we've last "blogged". All is well here in Freezing, America (I'm trying not to be terribly over dramatic, but Ted will back me on this one...it is EXTREMELY COLD here!) What is sad, is the temperatures have actually "warmed" up a bit, ha! We are loving the beautiful snow...but we are NOT loving getting out in it! ***Ok girls, this blog is especially for you. My Mom has always told me, honey, sometimes you just need a little Old Navy to brighten things up a little. Since I've already got spring/summer on the brain, I thought I'd give it a try and see if I could cure some of these "winter blues". Boy, what a cute tank top (on sale!) can do for your spirits!!! :)

P.S. I'm really okay...and promise I don't resort to retail therapy on a regular basis, ha!

American Idol/Facebook/Still FREEZING!

Oh boy, here we go again! Ted and I (and our dear friend and former roommate Roxann) got REALLY into Idol last year...I'm afraid we are hooked on it once again. Especially now that we are able to record it since we may not always be home when it's on tv. (We have no excuse but to be involved!) *on a side note, Ted and I have finally entered the world of facebook...I know, we move a little slow :) ha! Hope everyone is well! Yes, it's still freezing here in AA, I believe it was 4 when I turned on the news this morning :(

Ann Arbor = Antarctica

You guys, it is FRIGID here!!! Snow is everywhere and the temperatures are in the teens, heading towards the single digits (with a possibility of negative wind chill and it doesn't look like it's going to warm up anytime soon!) This is the part where you sigh and feel sorry for us if you do not live in Michigan, ha! :) This is a picture looking out our front door. Thank goodness for covered parking!

We're Back!!!

Happy New Year everyone! We pray this finds you well and enjoying 2009. Ted and I arrived back to a COLD, but sunny Michigan on Monday morning after a fabulous stay in our beloved OKC! The past 2 1/2 weeks have been filled with the love of family & friends and much celebration! We started off with a wedding! Grant (Ted's brother) and Lindee (our new sister-in-law!)got married (yay!!!) It was a gorgeous ceremony and we are so happy that we were able to share in their joy. Love you guys! Christmas was wonderful...we were able to see lots of immediate and extended family over the holidays (and Oklahoma came through with some gorgeous warm weather!) We also were able to catch a couple of Thunder Basketball games (thanks Uncle John!) and even witnessed a win :) Some other high lights were Sonic Cherry Limeades, going to see the Rockettes (thanks Dixie!), Ted bowled a 207, Carleton's chicken enchiladas (so yummy!), watching movies, and our new favorite thing...ROCK BAND!!! We LOVE to play Rock Band :) (Thanks Kevin, for putting us in the band!) We could not love our family and friends anymore...thanks to everyone for making this the best Christmas/New Year's yet! You are all precious to us and we look forward to seeing everyone soon. Here are some pictures of the 2008/2009 Trip to OKC, enjoy!
