4-0!

Hello Ledbetter Blog Readers, can you tell by our blogs that it's football season around here, ha! Saturday was game number 4 at the Big House...Michigan played Indiana and boy, it was a nail biter! 36-33 was the final score...here are some before and after tailgating pictures along with a picture of our kitchen counter with all of the things Ted has to remember to bring with him for game day! This week UM travels to Lansing to play Michigan State...let's beat those Spartans!!!

Phantom of the Opera

Wednesday evening, Ted hands me a white envelope (while asking me if we had plans for Thursday evening). I said no and continued to open the envelope and come to find out we DID have plans for Thursday evening! My sweet hubby surprised me with Tickets to see The Phantom of the Opera at the Detroit Opera House. We drove downtown and had a quick bite to eat at a little cafe across the street called Small Plate (the title seemed appropriate since we were on a time limit!) The prices were small too, which was good, ha! :) We then walked across the street and went inside to the gorgeous theater...and enjoyed a beautiful evening of Phantom. The actors were amazing! Ted had never seen the stage play before (only the movie). I had seen Phantom twice, but it's been many years ago...it was better than I remembered! Thank you Ted for a wonderful surprise and a fabulous evening! I love you :)

Meet Me in St. Louis!

Actually, I met my friend Meredith in St. Louis...for her wedding! Thursday night-Sunday afternoon was full of wedding celebration. Friday morning was a trip to the spa for manicures/pedicures followed by a lovely lunch. Friday evening was the rehearsal/rehearsal dinner (which was delicious!) and Saturday was the BIG DAY! Meredith looked gorgeous and everything went beautifully...the bridal party went to Washington University in St. Louis after the ceremony to take pictures and then we headed to the Crown Plaza for the reception-which included a fabulous live band! It was so great to reunite with Meredith and Laura! My mom and Mimi came up for the wedding too, so that was an added bonus. The only person who was missing was Ted! Here are some pics from the wedding weekend! Congratulations Mick and Meredith!

Carleton & Brandi Visit...and Michigan Football of course!

Sorry folks, I'm a few days behind in my blogging, but what a great weekend we had! My brother Carleton and his sweet girlfriend Brandi came into town for a visit. Our time was short, but we crammed a lot in! Friday night, we went downtown to one of our favorite restaurants, The Prickly Pear...Saturday was game day, WAHOOOO! Michigan played Notre Dame and got the win with 11 seconds left in the fourth quarter (it was a GREAT GAME!) Here are some pictures...yes, Brandi is a Notre Dame fan (but we love her anyway!)

Third Time's the Charm!

It's hard to believe, but we are in our THIRD football season here at Michigan! Ted and I were beginning to worry that we weren't bringing the team much luck since we arrived in Ann Arbor (Michigan has been 0-2 the past years in game openers!) Fortunately, UM got a win and oh, how sweet it was!!! Our friends, Bryan and Emily Jobe came with us to tailgate, and then we met up with them after the game. I sat with my friend Kerry, while Ted gave stadium tours, worked up in the press box some, and "schmoozed" with very happy donors :) It was so much fun being back in the BIG HOUSE and we can't wait for next week! GO BLUE!
