Countdown to Game Day!

Well folks, it's about that time of year...yes, I'm referring to none other than college football season! In 6 days, the BIG HOUSE will open its gates, thousands and thousands of fans will flood into the stadium, anxiously awaiting the start of a new era with head coach Rich Rodriguez leading the way. We are hoping Utah goes a little better than last year's first game (for those of you who have repressed that day, it was the game against Appalachian State). People up here take their football VERY seriously, ha! The Big House is actually under construction for the next few years due to the Stadium Project. They are adding suites, a new press box, and club seating. It will be fantastic once it is completed, but you can imagine the mess and chaos until then. They started right away last November after the last home game. It's moving right along...here are a few pictures I took while in my car (don't worry...I was stopped at a red light!)

Our apologies, we're moving kind of slow on our blogging...we promise we will speed things up. Hope this finds everyone well. Ted and I are doing great. We are looking forward to the school year starting (even though neither of us are students anymore). Michigan passed a state law that requires all the schools to start after Labor Day. So we have a few more weeks, but there is something about that "school year calendar" that just allows us to feel more in a routine. I will start back teaching dance & pilates after Labor Day. I am VERY much looking forward to that. Ted's schedule is about to get nuts with football season just around the corner. He has been doing some light traveling for work lately and has enjoyed getting to meet new people (and try new food!) We have been watching the Olympics every night and while we absolutely LOVE it...I think we're ready for it to be over (our sleep schedule is completely a wreck!) ha! Speaking of Olympics, Ted thinks I should try out for Race Walking in the 2012 Games. I'm thinking about it...ha!ha! j/k :) More to come re: Michigan Football :)

Take me out to the Ballgame

Last weekend, our friends Eric and Nicole invited us to a Detroit Tigers Baseball Game. We had a great time (and the Tigers even won!) Here are a few pictures from our outing at Comerica Park. The game was delayed just a bit due to some rain, but check out the gorgeous rainbow!

Thanks to my dear friend Katie McDowell, Ted and I have now entered the world of blogging! Since we are probably the only two humans left on earth that have neither a MySpace page or Facebook profile, we thought this would be a great way to keep everybody up to date on what's going on up here in Michigan!
